A random evening last week, and my daughter and I are splashing together in a bedtime bubble bath. Seemingly out of nowhere, she turns, looks me right in the eye, and incredibly earnestly she says to me:
"Mama, you're my treasure!"
Sigh.
Because of this little girl, my heart is so often alive with happiness and wonder... for this I will always be eternally grateful to her.

Friends of mine recently adopted 2 babies from another country, and before they left they had a little party to celebrate with friends.
They had a book where they asked everyone to write them piece of new-parent advice. I said to keep a place where you can write down all the funny/cute/sweet/silly things that your children say so you can remember it forever.
A treasure indeed!

My eyes just filled with tears...I have a mini that stands straight out of bed and says Mommy!!! Wake up! I want to give you bunny kisses!!! even though its at 6am on Saturday mornings, its so hard not to melt into a puddle.
